Cleaner 56k Quicktime streaming settings 1) Launch Cleaner 2) Select File > New Batch > save name (i.e. session1) 3) Select File > Open (ctrl+O) > choose source file 4) Highlight source file(s) 5) Right click on file(s) select advanced options, or choose ctrl+t 6) Select Quicktime Streaming (clicking on it will expand the menu) 7) Choose 'QT 56k Streaming' 8) A list of settings will appear on the right of that dialog box 9) Output Tab - default settings (.mov file suffix is the important thing here) 10) Tracks Tab - default settings video - process audio - process MPEG - process 11) Image Tab crop - numeric (dependent on the source file - generally 4 pixels all the way around - more if source was analog video) image size - 160 x 120 4:3 proportions deinterlace - auto adaptive noise reduction - mild (unless poor source quality) Audio Tab - sample rate 11.025 data rate 8 kbits/sec channels - mono volume - adjust (not normalize) 120 low pass - suppress above 11khz high pass - suppress below 50 hz 11) Begin/End - no settings 12) Summary - look over the settings and make sure they correlate to the settings listed above 13) Choose Save As > name the compression profile > choose the location (i.e. Mp3 - session) 14) Click apply 15) Select the play icon at the bottom of the batch dialog box 16) THis will bring up a file location window. Choose the location to save the compressed MP3 17) When you have achieved satisfactory results with the test file (you may need to adjust the volumn settings, etc.) run a batch (drag and drop all of the session files from a folder, highlight all and compress)
