Squeeze 4 MP4 300k settings


1) Launch Squeeze 4 for Mac

2) Select File > Save Project As > save name (i.e. Tibet)

3) Select File > Import Source (cmd+i) > choose source file

4) Select MPEG-4 from the format & compression settings menu

5) Select 256k_Stream

6) Right click - select Edit Preset

7) Select advanced - rename AIM_300k - Stream Type > Streaming (Hinted)

8) Audio - 
		codec - Fraunhofer AAC
		data rate - 32 kbits/sec
		sample size - 16
		sample rate - 32000
		channels - mono
		
9) Video - 
		codec - Sorenson MPEG4 Pro
		method - Sorenson 1-pass CBR
		data rate - 220 kbps
		frame size - 320x240
		maintain aspect ratio - check
		frame rate - 2:1 or 15 f.p.s.
		auto key frame - check, adjust slider to 60
		advanced simple profile - select Auto
		streaming - check, slice 1450, block refresh 8.00


10) Select OK

11) Filters (note: only to correct issues with marginal program quality. If program quality is good then skip to step 14)
	 - click + (add) - name AIM_300k - right click, select edit

12) Filter Settings - video and audio
		contrast - check, 15
		brightness - check, +3
		gamma - check, 25
		deinterlace - check, auto remove interlacing
		cropping - select this only if the source video has a black
			   border, crop as necessary, 1.33 standard
		video/audio fade in - select as necessary
		video/audio fade out - select as necessary
		normalize audio - check (use this if program volume is low)


13) Click OK - Highlight AIM_300k - Apply>

14) Highlight AIM_300k job - right click - choose Change Destination
		change file name, select save location

15) Select Squeeze it

16) Preview compressed movie, upload to server
