Quicktime 32k AAC audio (mp4) tutorial
note: this tutorial is for QT 6.5 pro. QT 7 pro is similar - menu locations are slightly different


1) Launch QT 6.5 Pro

2) Select File > Open Movie in New Player (apple+O)

3) Select File > Export (apple+E)

4) Choose the saved filename and location (click on the arrow to the right
of the 'Save As:' menu at the top of the window to expand the finder menu)

5) Select Export: Movie to MPEG-4)

6) Click on Options

7) MPEG-4 Settings

	General Tab
	- Video Track: None
	- Audio Track: Music

	Video Tab
	- Video Track: None

	Audio Tab
	- Audio Track: Music
	- 32 kbits/second (adjust slider)
	- Channels: Mono
	- Output Sample Rate: 32.0 kHz
	- Encoding Quality: Best

	Streaming Tab
	- Hinting type: Streaming (optimized for server)
	- Maximum packet size: 1450 bytes
	- Maximum packet duration: 100 ms

	Compatibility Tab
	- Compatibility type: ISMA
	- Connection speed: any

8) Choose OK - Click Save

9) Preview compressed file, upload to server
