FfmpegX DVD to MP4 (mpeg-4) transcoding tutorial
note: FfmpegX v.0.0.9s  (0.0.9w menus slightly different)


1) Launch FfmpegX

2) Drag source video (joined .vob files) onto the Source format window or
   Click on Open... and select the source

3) Select Save As... set file save location and filename

4) Select Target format > Choose .MP4 (mpeg-4) 
   (click on the arrow for the pulldown menu)

5) Video Compression Settings

	Video Tab
	- Bitrate 3000 kbit/s
	- Video Size: 720x480 

	Audio Tab
	- Audio Codec: AAC (MOV/MP4/3GP)
	- Audio bitrate 128 kbit/s
	- Sampling 48000 Hz (or 44100 - same as source)
	- Channels: Stereo
	- Mode: CBR

	Filters Tab 
	- Crop (manual crop enter pixels [top,left,right,bottom]
	- Image filters - deinterlace

	Options Tab
	- High Quality

	Tools Tab
	- Keep elementary streams

6) Choose Encode

7) Preview output
